2007 Cabernet Sauvignon contributes to The Scripps Research InstituteMolly Baber FundMolly Baber was a dear friend and one of the most dynamic and generous people we have ever known. She never missed an opportunity to give back to others. Molly passed away unexpectedly in May of 2004 while working to establish a research center at The Scripps Research Institute in San Diego. We are pleased to be able to support her efforts by contributing a dollar from each bottle sold of our Cabernet Sauvignon to the research fund established in her name.Leslie & Molly traveled all over the world together sharing many adventures as co-workers at GTE in the early 1990s. She had a unique gift to motivate people to achieve their very best and she was a tireless mentor to many as they built their careers. The funds will directly contribute to research to help families deal with the chronic disease of diabetes and the life-long commitment represented by organ transplantation. To order the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon download the online order form.CHILI COOK-Off WINNING RECIPE Merlot Chick's Spicy Chicken ChiliServes 8-122qts of Organic chicken BrothBoneless skinless chicken (10-thighs and 6- breasts)Cumin to tasteChili powder to tasteFresh peppers diced 2-Serrano, 2-Jalapeno, 1-Anehiem, 1-Habenaro, 1-Red Bell pepper1-Fresh Onion Diced1-Chorizo sausage skinned1 can Diced tomatoes with green chili’s organic1pkg Simply Organic Spicy Chili mix2cups of Wm Church Malbec½ cup of mini dark nestle chocolate chips2cups Fresh Salsa (I used pica de gallo homemade)Fresh chopped cilantro & Tortilla chips for servingDIRECTIONS: WINTER 2010 SPECIAL RECIPE Italian Tortellini Sausage Soup |

Only 90 cases produced; $17/bottle 2008 Sur La Mer – Bordeaux Style Blend We named our Bordeaux blend Sur La Mer which means “on the sea” after the seaport city of La Rochelle in western France where Leslie was born. This classic Bordeaux blend consists of 43% Merlot, 25%Cabernet, 17%Cabernet Franc, 12%Malbec, 3% Petit Verdot. Black cherry, Chocolate and smokey oak fill the nose of this elegant, supple texture Bordeaux blend. Aged for 18 months in French oak and an additional 12 months in the bottle. 250 cases; $32/bottle 2009 Malbec Our 4th vintage and again sourced entirely from Gamache Vineyards, one of the oldest and most respected vineyards in the state. These 10 year old vines are some of the oldest Malbec vines to be found in Washington. Full bodied with beautiful blue and black fruit flavors that balance the smoke & the spice in the finish. This wine has a character and intensity that will only deepen as the wine ages. 180 cases; $30/bottle 2008 2 SPIRES 2 Spires stands for our two wine blend of Syrah & Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2008 vintage features the lush fruit of Stillwater Creek Vineyard Syrah along with the bold and flavorful Chandler Reach & Dineen Vineyard Cabernet. This is our boldest & biggest wine that displays a dark magenta and violet color. Jammy raspberry & blackberry fruit fill the nose along with licorice and spice. The toasty oak brings vanilla & caramel flavors that match the big fruit & spice of the nose while retaining a soft mouthfeel. Full bodied with good grip & powerful concentration this wine remains well balanced and expressive throughout the finish. 250 Cases; $29/bottle 90 Points Seattle Metropolitan Magazine Gold Medal Seattle Wine Awards 2008 SYRAH This 100% Syrah is sourced from three premium vineyards: Dineen Family, Red Willow and Stillwater Creek. The blend of fruit from these vineyard sites lends complexity to the wine - inky and dark, filled with aromas of wild blackberry, sweet pipe tobacco and baking spices. The 2008 vintage Syrah was co-fermented with whole Viognier clusters to add a lifted, floral note to the nose and to intensify the deep purple color. This leads to an elegant, yet mouth filling Syrah that has well-integrated tannins and a lengthy finish. 196 cases produced; $26/bottle 90 Points Wine Enthusiast Gold Medal Washington Wine Summit 2007 CABERNET SAUVIGNON The 2007 Cabernet is 90% pure, silky Cabernet fruit from three of our favorite vineyards and 10% deep purple Petit Verdot. The combination is pleasingly structured and full on the palate. Loaded with flavors of blackberry, black current, roasted coffee, & clove with well integrated oak and structured tannins. Drink now or cellar to enjoy for up to eight years. We are pleased to donate a portion of the proceeds from this wine to the research fund named in honor of our dear friend Molly Baber. The funds will be used for basic research at the Scripps Research Institute to help those living with diabetes & organ transplants. $29/bottle; 250 cases produced; 90 Points Wine Enthusiast -------------------------SOLD OUT--------------------------------- 2008 MALBEC - SOLD OUT 89 Points Stephen Tanzer 88 Points Wine Enthusiast GOLD MEDAL 2010 Seattle Wine Awards Voted 2010 "Wine to Watch" Washington Wine Report Readers Survery 2008 BISHOP'S BLEND- SOLD OUT 90 Points Wine Enthusiast Magazine 2007 SUR LA MER BORDEAUX BLEND- SOLD OUT 91 Points Wine Enthusiast 89 points - Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar Report GOLD MEDAL 2010 Seattle Wine Awards Silver Medal Northwest Wine Summit 2007 "2 SPIRES" SYRAH/CABERNET BLEND- SOLD OUT Gold Medal 2009 Northwest Wine Summit Silver Medal 2009 Seattle Wine Awards 2nd Place overall winner at Sexy Syrah 2010 2008 BAD HABIT - SOLD OUT 2010 Viognier - SOLD OUT 90 Points Seattle Metropolitan Magazine 91 Points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Double Gold Seattle Wine Awards Platinum Award Winner 2009 VIOGNIER2007 Syrah2007 Bishop's Blend2007 Malbec |
